“Long time no talk. I wanted to write you and say thank you.
2016 started out great because I was working with you and was feeling better than I had in a long time. We were working through finding the foods that were making me not feel very good. I was back skiing and working out. It was shaping to be a great year of getting my life back on track nutritionally and physically and mentally.
My world came to a complete halt in March when I had my freak accident. I have gotten off chairlifts many times in the many years of skiing. I got caught up on the chairlift and was flung through the air and hit my head really hard. Luckily I was wearing a helmet or I would be dead. That night of my accident I lost vision in one eye and spent a lot of time on bed rest, tests and physical therapy. Slowly my brain started to heal, but it has been a slow and frustrating process. You can imagine my sense of loss, depression and frustration. I like to run, I like to lift and I love to be active. Any type of movement brought on dizzy spells. Driving down the road brought on headaches. This was not the life that I wanted to live.
During our time of consults, I kept a journal. I recorded what worked and what didn’t work, foods to avoid and foods to eat only on a very limited basis and test results. I found that journal months later after we stopped having regular calls. I had totally forgotten most of what we had talked. I started to implement small changes. I went back to taking Max Adrenal and Max Sleep and took out the foods listed in my test results. Within a very short time, I saw a difference. I slept better at night, I started to have a little more energy and my brain didn’t hurt all the time.
Thank you for developing a product that is helping me heal my body. Thank you working to so hard with all the tests. I feel like we just started to uncover the secrets surrounding why I was feeling so crappy. You, your company and your products is saving my life. I hope to someday soon start back on session to have someone help me figure out my way of new life. I have a long way to go to feeling normal again, but feel optimistic and have hope. What you do makes a difference in people lives. I just wanted you to hear it from me. Here is to a better 2017!
PS. I think your blogs were written especially for me. Especially the one on loss. ”
“I took Capacity last night before my workout and I think my cardio was the easiest its been with a solid “in the zone” feeling the entire time. Loved it – BUT i cant say enough good things about MaxSleep. I dont have much trouble with sleep but i have been noticing that I will wake up a few times a night. Well I was a 190lb rock on top of a mattress last night! I woke up more refreshed than I have in a VERY long time!
Again, cant thank you enough for the samples. Im sold and will be purchasing a few things shortly.”Justin
“I LOVED my sample of Max Perform. That stuff came on gradually but it fueled my run amazingly well. Self talk and on-the-fly adjustments to form were effortless; and speed bursts for getting around folks were abundantly available! Also: no jitters and less soreness! Finally, I gave the second scoop to my wife and she also enjoyed the product.”Marsh
“I started Crossfit in 2013 as a means to become fitter for my ROTC training before I commissioned into the military. Fast forward to today, I now have grown to chase that goal of making it to regionals and then on to the Crossfit games. I realized that I was a heavier athlete that was strong but lacked the motor which is imperative. This past May, eight months ago I made the decision to take control of my nutrition which meant logging and weighing my food something that I was not a fan up. My nutrition, Kylie from Nova 3 Labs has taken me from a constant 215 pounds down to 205 pounds. I have continued to maintain my strength all while my weight is slowly dropping. Kylie was instrumental in my nutritional goals. She designed a plan unique to me and what I like the most the amount of communication I get from her. I feel like I am talking to me coach every day. I want to thank Nova 3 Labs and especially Kylie. Thank you for being my nutritionist. I am looking forward to success in my nutrition goals.”Karl
“I’ve never had a nutrition coach; I always believed that I could figure out a diet that suited myself. However, over the past couple of months, I’ve come to realize that sometimes you need to reach out for help, from people who are experts in their field of study. I got to the point in my training where I was on a roller coaster ride not just in performance, but in weight as well. It was then that I realized I should contact someone who could keep me excelling in my performances and get the roller coaster ride under control.Since contacting Kegan Dillon and Nova 3 Labs, I’ve seen such a change in all aspects of my training. Once starting with Kegan, he took a look at my training and nutrition and made some drastically beneficial changes to my diet. In making these changes, I’ve seen not only an increase in my work capacity but more importantly my ability to recover after multiple sessions.
Kegan didn’t stop there. After getting my bad food habits under control, we moved on to supplementation. Now I can tell you I was just one of those Athletes taking pre-workout and a post-workout protein because it said to on the labels of the stuff I bought. I believe it’s important to understand what you are putting in your body and why it’s going to help you. Kegan taught me how to fuel myself pre-workout properly and how to recover post-workout. I think that it takes some time to find out what works best for you as an athlete but supplementation is a vital necessity in helping you reach your real potential. Now every time I go and compete I’ll contact Kegan to see if we need to make any adjustments to my plan so that I know when I step out on the floor I’m 110% fueled and ready to throw down.
It goes without saying, if you want to be the best, you need to work with the best people and Nova 3 Labs is the gold standard of the nutrition industry.Nick Delgrande
“I love the products! The Max Adrenal and Max Sleep have worked wonders for me, especially on vacation with jet lag. The Max Adrenal works right away and gives me the energy I need in the morning that I’ve been looking for. I feel more restful and recovered with Max Sleep when i wake up. A much better feeling than the Pure Pharma I used to take. The Max Perform and Max Capacity together are just amazing! I have been able to push myself more than usual. I don’t get the tingly feeling and that feeling that I’m going to have a heart attack. I can’t wait to see how much better I have improved when the Open comes along. All in all, I am 110% satisfied with the products.”Adrian Zein
“I can’t be more thrilled with the results I’ve had working with Kylie of Nova3Labs. For the first time since in years, I feel like my body weight is right where it should be – lean and strong. My goal was to lose weight to compete as a 69kg weightlifter, but I had been stalled 3kg away for months. From the first week working with Kylie, I began to slowly lose weight while still eating very close the same amount of food. She listened to my feedback and adjusted frequently based on how I was feeling each week. She was not afraid of being tough when I needed it. She even managed the do something my mother gave up on years ago – eating more vegetables. Ten weeks later I competed for the first time as a 69! Now we are working together on the next goal – stay lean and eat to get stronger.”Gwen Chamberlin
“My battle with fatigue started after I spent a couple of years training for a figure competition. Calorie restriction and overtraining, working as a busy personal trainer/fitness instructor, as well as chasing two small children caught up with me. My body(and mind) was a train wreck. Mood swings, food cravings, irregular sleep, fogginess, poor memory and attention. As I shifted into a different routine and left the aesthetic competition behind….I was able to tolerate the after effects of the damage that I had done. Although I felt ‘better,’ I was never 100%. I just figured that this was how it would be. Fast forward to my introduction to Crossfit. I drank the kool-aid. I was hooked immediately. I didn’t just want it for fitness and recreation…but fatigue, moodiness, cravings, poor sleep to name a few…plagued me once again and held me back. I couldn’t get out of bed in the morning. Overdosing with coffee. I was napping by noon. Forget staying awake in a movie or reading a book. Doctors told me it was my busy life; blood work was ‘normal,’ that I was getting closer to 40, that I was just overdoing it. Training too much. Not eating enough. Eating too much. Lifting too heavy. Not doing enough cardio…..etc. I was convinced that training as an ‘athlete’ just wasn’t for me. That this was it…. Found MaxAdrenal. *insert cartwheel here* I get up at five.(that’s a.m) I swim. I run. I lift. I chase my kids. I make lunches and dinners and do lots of Mom things. I bike with my husband. I’m not (usually) grumpy with my kids or husband. I’m calm. I am focused. I have more clarity. I get stuff done. Like, lots of stuff now. Food cravings have disappeared. Mood swings gone. I sleep! And it’s quality sleep at night. I feel amazing. I feel human again. Like a real live one!!”Jamie
“I have been working with Mike for over a year now and have seen amazing results. After explaining my story to Mike we have decided to do some adrenal testing as I felt like I constantly had no energy. After the testing we found out that I had stage 3 adrenal fatigue with cortisol levels so low in the afternoon and evening that the test couldn’t even measure that low. After working with Mike closely in the group with regards to this issue, and his nutrition advice, I have bounced back fully and have more energy than I ever have. I have also slimmed down while maintaining the same weight.”Shawn Meldrum
“Mike is my nutrition coach. I’ve been working with him since August. Prior to Mike I was struggling to figure out a number of the pieces to my nutrition puzzle. I had recently started remote training to help reach my goal of CF masters regional/games level. I had also run into some new health issues of low iron and thyroid imbalance. I was getting no closer to a solution with my family doctor. Between incorrect macros and all the other things going on, I felt like a train wreck. My energy was low, my endurance was suffering, training was hard and I was having a hard time with body comp.
First he introduced me to MaxAdrenal(see above) and MaxCapacity!
The months following he listened and analyzed everything going on….helped my figure out the low iron which fixed my thyroid…and slowly helped me determine what nutrition works for my goals.
Having a better idea about my nutritional needs makes it easier to set a good example for our two kids. Our daughter is 11 and son is 13. They are both athletic and in competitive sports….and at an age where nutrition is so important. I feel so strongly about them learning healthy habits at a young age.”Jamie Granville
“Max adrenal and max sleep have been my go to for recovery from my autoimmune disease and killer weightlifting workouts. January of 2015 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and last week I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. I was also given a love for the barbell. Those two things don’t always get along. I haven’t responded to any of the meds the doctors have given me but I sure as shit felt better when I took max adrenal and max sleep. It made me feel better after a nasty infusion or a crushing workout. This is something missing in the AI community and it could drastically improve everyone’s quality of life AND performance, if that’s what their in to.”Buster Miscusi
“I’ve been using Max Adrenal now for about 2 months & love it. Being a CrossFit regional athlete, Grid athlete & weightlifter I always have to be very careful about what supplements I’m using & what I’m putting into my body. I love that I can have peace of mind knowing that Nova 3 Labs products are all clean, quality products & always recommend them to my teammates.”Caroline Proulx
“I have been working with Mike and using Max Adrenal for just over 1 year. I have been a part of the CrossFit world for 5 years, and have more recently joined a Weightlifting team. Through focusing on nutrition and adrenal health I have seen more performance gains in the last year than I have my entire CrossFit career! Since working with Mike I have put nearly 30kg on my weightlifting total, qualified and competed at BCWA provincials, and crushed numerous old CrossFit benchmark scores (just to name a few things). Being diagnosed with Lupus in 2006, I have struggled with my health ever since. Mike (being the genius that he is), has helped me control and maintain my condition better than any doctor or specialist I’ve encountered.
If nutrition and Max Adrenal can have such a big impact, I would love to see what Nova 3 Labs’ other performance products can do for me! The Open is quickly approaching, and I plan to crush it this year. Training for BCWA Nationals 2018 starts NOW, and I want to fuel my body with the best product out there!”
